Chassis components often take more abuse than any other part of a car. In contrast to the more predictable duty cycle of an engine, chassis components are exposed not only to the atmosphere but also the rough and tumble of race meetings.
When ferritic parts such as wishbones and uprights have rotted, often internally, they should be replaced. In the case of many cars direct replacements are no longer available and new parts must be manufactured.
Our team can reverse engineer any component however complex and redraw to suit. In many cases time has allowed for a better understanding of chassis systems and small changes can be incorporated. Dialing out characteristics such as bump steer is a good example of a small change that can yield big advantages in stability and handling.
All design work is conducted in house using the latest CATIA V5 software and is directly compatible with CNC CAM systems.
